The Giants are heading to Houston for a Sunday afternoon kickoff at 1 p.m. ET. While the focus stays on the Texans, the real work happens in the scouting reports. We need talent on the lines and in the backfield, and this weekend’s college slate offers plenty of reasons to get excited.
Xavier Gilliam is a disruptive force
Tennessee’s defensive line is a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks. According to Big Blue View, defensive tackle Xavier Gilliam is quickly climbing up draft boards. He has become one of the most disruptive players in the country. If we can find someone with that kind of impact, the whole unit changes.
Running back needs demand Kewan Lacy
The lack of production in the run game in East Rutherford is a massive problem. Sports Illustrated noted that Kewan Lacy could be a smart move for the future. He already has 352 rushing yards and five touchdowns through five games this season. He has the vision to be an elite pro.
We also need to look at Virginia Tech’s Que’Sean Brown. Sports Illustrated reported that Brown leads the FBS with a 24.3-yard average on punt returns.
