John Harbaugh has turned the Giants into a team that actually plays hard again. The shift started the moment he took the job, and the players are finally saying it out loud. Right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor made the call crystal clear when “Up & Adams” host Kay Adams asked who was tougher, Harbaugh or Brian Daboll. Eluemunor didn’t hesitate when he answered, “Harbs.” This isn’t just a hot take from a player trying to get on a coach’s good side. It is the truth the whole roster now feels every single day.

The Camp Was Brutal

Adams was told by Eluemunor that the Giants desire to compete for Harbaugh at “a hundred percent,” even though “the training camp we just got done with, it was the hardest training camp of my career.” He pointed out there were approximately four or five off days within roughly 30 days or something, yet the effort proved worthwhile. The team is having fun playing ball again because they know they are ready. Athletes compete without anxiety regarding all matters since they are aware every single detail has been addressed. This level of preparation is what wins games, and it is what Daboll failed to deliver consistently.

A Culture of Accountability

The old regime let players slide, but Harbaugh gets tough with underachievers. Running back Cam Skattebo was benched by him following a costly fumble versus the New Orleans Saints during Week 6. Skattebo was permitted to return from the bench and reacted correctly throughout Week 7’s impressive road victory against the Houston Texans. This approach highlighted the other crucial distinction between the former Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl champion and Daboll. Daboll was accused of “running a program that rarely demonstrates accountability,” per Dan Duggan of The Athletic. Harbaugh is fixing that problem by holding his own players to a high standard.

The Rest of the League Is Blind

Even though the Giants stand alone atop the NFC East with a 4-2-1 record, the remainder of the NFL declines to treat them with seriousness. Insider Connor Hughes stated during a spot on the “Evan and Tiki” podcast that he consulted nine NFL teams regarding their views on the Giants. Hughes remarked, “None of those teams that I talked to around the league thought the Giants were a real threat” That is fine with the Giants, according to GMEN HQ. They do not need the hype to win. They just need to keep playing the hard way Harbaugh demands.
